Capstone
Soon, I will begin my capstone project, centered on an innovative office design that reimagines the modern workplace. The project focuses on reducing burnout and improving work–life balance through intentional spatial organization, restorative materials, and human-centered design strategies.

The Robert Bruce Thompson Annual Student Light Fixture Design Competition
I am competing in a lighting design challenge focused on reimagining the boarding gate lounge at a major U.S. airport. The project explores how a custom luminaire can transform a typically bland concourse into a welcoming, comfortable, and memorable waiting environment. With a 12’ ceiling and 20-gate terminal context, the design prioritizes quality of light, energy efficiency, maintenance, and passenger well-being. The goal is to use lighting to draw passengers to the gate, support relaxation and productivity, and create a lounge atmosphere where travelers want to stay—not rush through.
