The goal was to design a guest house in Greenville, NC, for a couple, incorporating elements from both their homes in Greenville and Nigeria. This project emphasizes understanding cultural context and demonstrating respect for diverse influences.
Through this process, I learned the fundamentals of interior design, including site analysis, space planning, and hand-drawing floor plans and elevations. Additionally, hand building 3D models to visualize the space, using AutoCAD for floor plans and SketchUp for a full 3D model with preliminary renderings.
I will further enhance the project by adjusting the formatting to better showcase the design.
